Who would have ever thought that a gal raised in Seattle would come to marry a rancher, live and work on some of the most beautiful ranches and turn the necessity of ‘putting up’ into a business?!!

Bob and I managed some gorgeous ranches.  Some of which were over 100 miles to the nearest grocery store.  That’s when I learned how to ‘can’.  Putting up everything we grew, from beets to corn, gave me such a great sense of satisfaction.   Not only were our canned items beautiful, but they were also delicious.

During our ranching years we also raised Quarter Horses.  My favorite mare was Jordie.  While we were trying to figure out a name for our business, my Mom said, why not “Just Jordie’s”?  The rest is history!!
